"Three Sons, One Ring"

 Here’s one of my favorite stories . . .
Once upon a time there was a King who had three sons and one beautiful gold ring that had been passed down to him from his father. Each of the King’s sons desired the ring, for it looked so handsome and mighty on their father. When the King died he left three rings for his sons and a note. The note said,

"My dear sons, one of these rings is the real one that you have each admired. The other two rings are fake. The way you will know who has the real ring is this: the son who has the real ring will be kind, gentle, and loving all his days."

And each of the three sons spent the rest of their lives trying to prove that he had the real ring.

The way we prove that our faith is real is just like those sons. It’s how we live and how we love. We demonstrate each day that our love for God is genuine and not fake by how we love each other.

 Let’s pray about it:
Lord, we want the real thing for our lives. We want our faith to be genuine and not fake. So help us each day to share Your love with others, that we may show that we, too, are Your children. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
