The First Parish Church office staff handles this area with you, and on your behalf.
Our Administrative Assistants, Norma Pease & Marj Stonemetz, are in the church office on Monday through Friday from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm. Contact them as above.
Organist
The First Parish Church has two organists that are both excellent musicians.
It is the responsibility of the Church to insure that you have an organist for your wedding. If you do not wish to have an organist please let the Church know when scheduling your wedding.
Wedding Music Video
Our Wedding Music Video will assist you in selecting music for your ceremony. The Pastor will lend you a copy of this video at your first pastoral appointment. Most couples watch the video and select their music from it.
You will write your music selections on the ceremony worksheet and give it to the Pastor at your final planning session. The Pastor will give a copy of the worksheet to the organist scheduled for your wedding.
Soloist
The First Parish Church has a number of excellent soloists. Several are featured on our wedding music video.
They are happy to sing at weddings, and are accustomed to singing with our organists/pianists.
We can arrange a soloist for you, or give you a list of names to contact. You can also arrange for your own soloist.
Soloists usually rehearse with the organist an hour & an half before the ceremony. Soloists should come to the ceremony with copies of their music for the organist.
Other Special Music
We also have the names of trumpet players, violinists, flutists, and other musicians.
Please contact the Church office staff (not the organists) to arrange for this.
